Chocolate Smoothie

Easy chocolate smoothie

This simple chocolate smoothie is an excellent option for those looking for an easy-to-make breakfast or snack that will keep them full for several hours.

This smoothie is quick to make and full of nutrients. Unlike many healthy smoothie recipes, no banana is required!

Blend everything until smooth, and you will have the most delicious chocolate smoothie ever.

Chocolate Smoothie Recipes

Chocolate Coffee Blend: Add half a teaspoon of instant coffee before blending.

Black Forest: Use six ounces of frozen cherries instead of yogurt. Remove the pits from the fruit if you don’t buy it already pitted.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake: Add two tablespoons of powdered or peanut butter to make a decadent and rich chocolate shake.

Nutella Shake: Use the same steps as the chocolate peanut butter shake, but substitute the nut butter with store-bought or homemade Nutella.

Chocolate Strawberry: Use strawberry yogurt instead of vanilla yogurt and add one to two frozen chopped strawberries. You can also make a blueberry-flavored version by using blueberry yogurt with a few frozen blueberries.

Chocolate Banana Blend: To make a sugar-free smoothie, you can use a frozen banana that has been ripened. This will also result in a thicker, more delicious smoothie.

Tropical Smoothie: Use canned coconut milk instead of frozen mangoes or bananas instead of yogurt,

Chocolate Green smoothie: Add fresh spinach or Kale. Blend in up to one-fourth cup of frozen greens or spinach.

Chocolate protein smoothie recipe

This healthy chocolate shake contains up to 12 grams of protein, even without protein powder.

Add a serving of your favorite protein powder, whether vanilla, chocolate, birthday cake or another flavor.

The protein smoothie may contain over 25 grams of protein, depending on your type and brand of protein powder.

A spoonful of peanuts or a sprinkle of nutritious chia or flax seeds can also increase the fiber and proteins in the recipe.

Healthy chocolate smoothie ingredients

You’ll need vanilla yogurt, unsweetened cocoa or chocolate protein powders, your favorite sweetener, peanut butter, almond butter, tahini, or cashew butter.

Ice cubes are not required in the recipe, and I do not recommend using them. Ice dilutes chocolate’s richness.

The sweetener measurements will vary depending on whether or not you use sweetened or plain yogurt and milk. It also depends on your taste and the type of sweetener that you select.

I add two to three teaspoons of pure maple syrup in a recipe that uses unsweetened yogurt and milk. Use your favorite sweetener.

Chocolate breakfast shake

Add one to two teaspoons of rolled quick or old-fashioned oats.

Blend the oats to a texture that resembles flour. Add all the remaining ingredients and blend once more. Oatmeal is an excellent addition to the smoothie, as it adds fiber and protein.

How to make a chocolate smoothie

Combine the yogurt, milk, and optionally nut butter in a blender with salt, cocoa, or protein powder. Blend until smooth and thick.

Pour the drink into a tall, wide glass. Use a mason jar instead if you want to be fancy.

You can make it into a smoothie bowl. Add granola and mini chocolate chips to the bowl. Add shredded coconut, raspberry, Two– Ingredient Truffles, or bananas with homemade Coconut Whipped cream.

Chocolate Milkshake Trick: Pour the milk into an ice cube tray and freeze it ahead of time if you own a Vitamix high-speed blender. Once the ice cubes are frozen, please remove them and blend them with the other ingredients for a thicker chocolate smoothie.

Vegan and Keto options

Use non-dairy milk and yogurt to make a chocolate vegan smoothie. I prefer almond milk, oats, or soy milk.

Use plain Greek yogurt or sugar-free vanilla yogurt to make a keto chocolate shake without sugar. Add a quarter teaspoon of vanilla extract to unsweetened yogurt and adjust the sweetener according to your taste. Allulose, Stevia, and xylitol are all keto sugar substitutes.

The healthy recipe is not only vegan but also low-carb. It can be made gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free, low fat and low-calorie.

What is the best smoothie or chocolate milkshake

A milkshake is different from a smoothie because milkshakes are primarily made of ice cream, whereas smoothies combine ingredients such as fruit, yogurt, and milk. They may also include avocados, vegetables, or even fruit juice.

Smoothies tend to be healthier than milkshakes due to the lower sugar and fat contents and the addition of more nutritional ingredients.

A fruit smoothie made with yogurt and fruits is a healthy alternative to a milkshake.

Ingredients

6 oz Vanilla yogurt (you can choose to make it sugar-free or dairy-free).

Half a cup of milk of your choice

Use two tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa or chocolate protein powder

Use a pinch of salt

Peanut Butter (optional: 2 tablespoons)

Sweetener of your choice

Instructions

Blend everything in a blender until smooth. Enjoy. If you want to make a thicker smoothie and have a high-speed blender (like a Vitamix), freeze the milk ahead of time in an ice-cube tray. Blend the frozen milk with other ingredients to create a thick chocolate smoothie.
